Navy General Headquarters

We cross Amboage square and follow Real street to NAVY GENERAL HEADQUARTERS.

This building, which was the navy headquarters, joins two historic buildings: the former residential palace and offices of the admiral, which were built in 1765, and the house that was added in 1859 for the commander-in-chief. Arches and galleries were added in the twentieth century. This palace has a rectangular floor plan. Notable features include the interior stone porch, the wooden stairs, the representatives assembly room and the authorities´ office room. It has a privileged location on an elevated site which gave it a pronounced strategic value.
